We want to get the biggest bang for our buck, so we are discussing new windows, grey paint, a stained mahogany door, some hardy landscaping, Autumn Brown shingles, and a portico. Opinions please!
Now:
We want to replace the old gross cement block walkway with brown gravel. We have already lined the walkway with really pretty copper path lights.
What a great computer mockup! I love the color and the door treatment, but the windows made a big difference. Is it possible, since you are changing out the windows anyway, to make them even larger and more standardized? Like putting in one bow or picture window instead of two smaller ones? Maybe this wouldn't work in reality...but I'd love to see the impact on the computer image.

ReplyDeleteI'm assuming that Gard is Sarah!, if so, Wes had the same idea about a bay window in the dining room. I think we are now looking at a giant picture window because it costs THOUSANDS less. We are going to get a quote from a contractor to see just how big our windows can be. The problem is the kitchen... they can't go lower than the countertops.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, I would love to do shutters, but the way the brick has "embellishments" around the windows, I don't think they will be possible.
